About Me

Currently, I work at Knewton as a software engineer. (more about it soon)

Last year, I completed a Ph.D. degree in ECE at the University of Florida working under the guidance of Dr. Jose C. Principe in the Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory.

My research work focused primarily on Machine Learning and Computer Vision. The latest projects were focused on

  • designing similarity measures based on information theory to perform pair or group-wise shape matching, alignment and image registration on both affine and non-rigid transformed data.
  • developing a subjective information measure, known as a surprise metric, to reduce the time and space complexity of kernel methods by utilizing only the data with relevant information to the system.
